I Love Shorts Burger & Shine!

Went to Short’s Burger & Shine with my brother today for lunch.  As always, everything we had was excellent.  I think the thing I like about Shorts is that it serves food that you most likely always eat (burgers and fries), in a way you’ve never had before.

The toughest thing about going to Shorts is deciding what to order.  They offer many variations of burgers and chicken sandwiches. They also offer black bean patties for vegetarians, and they taste great as well.  The burgers are advertised as “100% corn-fed” beef. It kind of made me a bit perplexed because after watching Food, Inc., I thought that it is better for you to eat grass-fed meat rather than corn-fed.

After looking a few minutes at the menu, we decided to split our meals so we could try a couple different burgers.  We decided on the Baxter and the Dundee.

One thing you will notice is that they don’t ask you how you want your burger cooked.  Expect it to come medium-well most of the time.  I usually like my burger medium to medium-rare, but medium-well doesn’t bother me if it is a good burger.  It took about 15 minutes for our order to come out.

We liked both of the burgers, though the buns were a little big for the size of the patties (which aren’t small).  The fries were well seasoned and tasted great, even if they were a little on the soggy side.  And I also love the Short’s sauce that comes with the meals.  My only problem with the sauce is that I don’t have the recipe.

I thought the service was great at Shorts and even though it is usually packed when I go there, we got right in.  The price is right too.  It was about $9/meal.
